Our Family

Our Family
This was also Sydney's first time to go to church. She did great! At one point she even started singing with everyone else. And she started talking to Father Carroll at one point. I have no clue where she gets her talking from!

MSU vs Florida game

Clay and I took Jacob to the State vs Florida game. For some reason, Jacob really likes Tim Tebow. Any time he hears his name on SportsCenter or during a game or whenever, he repeats his name and his face lights up. Honestly, I love the fact that he seems to look up to a player that is a such a good person and role model. When we were going to the game, I told him that Tim Tebow was going to be at the game. He told me no. He said, "Tim Tebow not at the Go State game. He at Jo and Josh's house." Too cute!
Jacob ringing Clay's cowbell. It is amazing the things that they let you sneak into a game when you have a diaper bag and a child.

Sydney's One Month Old

Sydney is one month old today! I can't believe it. Time is flying by way too fast. She is sleeping great. Just waking up once at night! I can't complain about that at all.

Jacob wanted Sydney to sit on his head. No clue why ... but he was excited about it, so Gabby (my mama) put her on his head.
Then he wanted her on his back. She seemed to have as much fun as he did. She smiled a lot.

Happy Halloween from the Garners

Jacob wanted to be a football player for Halloween this year, and Sydney is helping fuel her Mommy's new obsession! She is Renesmee Cullen!

If you haven't read all the Twilight books, I am sorry ... this will spoil something. If you have read the books, you will know how awesome these pictures are. And even better with the fact that her brother's name is Jacob. HAHAHA!!! Small things make me so happy these days.

How awesome is this!!!
To say that I am obsessed with the Twilight Saga is a major understatement. My sweet and wonderful neighbor Joanna got me obsessed, and she and my friend Stephanie just helped my obsession grow further! I read all four books in less than a week, which a lot of people have done, but I did it 9 months pregnant with a 2 year old and a husband that was never home because of football. I also have Twilight the book on my iPod (books on cd from the library are great!! Just got Breaking Dawn ... two down two to go!). I like to listen to it on road trips. Lets just put it this way ... Jacob is well aware of the fact that he is a character in the books.
Can't wait for Nov. 20!!!! Along with some people that I work with, Joanna and I are going to the midnight showing of New Moon. Clay is keeping both kids!

Sydney in pink

She is in pink. YEAH for me! Honestly, I really like this color pink. What is happening to me???? I have been trying to put her in pink, but she looks really cute in purple too. At least I am not putting her in Jacob's clothes all the time.

Isn't this cute! Aunt Beck Beck helped me pick it out. Sydney was so small that we had no clothes that fit her, so Becky and I went shopping. Shopping for girl clothes is much harder than shopping for boy clothes.

Pumpkin Patch

Jacob's class went to the Pumpkin Patch on Friday. Clay took care of Sydney so that we could go. We had a great time! For anyone that lives in the Jackson area, this was a great place. It is called Boyd's Pumpkin Patch and is located on Hwy 43. It was really muddy when we went so we didn't get to do everything, but they have a corn maze and playground for the kids. I want to take him back to do both of those things.
Jacob and Mommy.
Yes, I know that it was really cold that day, but he would not put a coat on. He finally did when he saw his other friends in their coats.

This is April. They call her a Zedonk. She is half zebra and half donkey. They had tons of other animals there for the kids to see too - donkeys, cows, goats, catfish, turkeys and rabbits.

Because it was so muddy, they put the pumpkins in the field for the kids to pick theirs out. When it isn't yucky, the kids are allowed to go into the actual pumpkin patch and get theirs.

Jacob and his pumpkin. He picked it out all by himself.

Jacob singing State's fight song

About 6 weeks ago or so, Jacob and I were in the kitchen. He was helping me with dishes and out of the blue he started singing State's fight song! I was amazed. Of course, Clay and I have been singing it to him since the day he was born, but that was the first time that he sang it by himself. Sydney is already a true Bulldog. If she is crying, Jacob will sing it to her and she stops crying. I couldn't be prouder of my two kids!

This is best video that we have of him singing it. Just in case some of you don't know the words, here they are. Enjoy!!!

Hail State

Hail dear 'ole State!
Fight for that victory today.
Hit that line and tote that ball,
Cross the goal before you fall!
And then we'll yell, yell, yell, yell!
For dear 'ole State we'll yell like H-E-L-L!
Fight for Mis-sis-sip-pi State,
Win that game today!

Jacob feeding Sydney

Jacob loves to help us feed Sydney. He tells me that she is thirsty and that he wants to give her her milk. He gets mad at me if I help him hold the bottle. He wants to hold it all by himself.

Sydney Rene' Garner is here!

Sydney Rene' Garner was born on October 5, 2009 at 1:13 pm. She weighed 7 lbs 7 oz and was 20 1/4 inches long. Jacob loves his new baby sister.
"My Nydney" is what he calls her. (he has a little trouble with his "s."
First bath ... let's just say that she wasn't happy with her Deda at that moment!

Jacob was a big help. He made sure she had her paci when he thought she needed it.

Took these last night while she was asleep in my lap. So sweet and peaceful.

She has really long feet and toes. Mama says that I did too ... which made me walk alot sooner (scary!) and climb on everything.
