Jacob had his first experience at tailgating this year. We had a blast tailigating before the State vs. Auburn baseball, uh ... I mine football game. (We lost 3-2) He was very excitied about the game. He was a trooper as long as he had his football.
See my football! He really does not go any where without a football. Lucky, we have 4 footballs this size. Always be prepared.

My sweet baby boy
I have to share a great story. Last week, the stomach virus and I got into a fight ... I lost ... really bad. I felt horrible one day when I left work. As soon as Jacob and I got home, I put him down for a nap (as I always do), and I went straight to bed. He woke up about an hour and a half later. I got him and put him in the bed with me because I still did not feel good. Clay was at practice, and not coming home any time soon. Somehow Jacob knew that I did not feel good. He stayed in the bed with me for almost 40 minutes. He was wide awake. He kept saying, "Mama," looking at me with these sad eyes. He layed his head right by mine on the pillow and rubbed my face. Then he flipped over a put his hand on my arm. It was like he was trying to take care of me. It was very touching and sweet. A funny thing also happened. He grabbed the clicker that was in the bed, handed it to me and said, "Football, Mama." Yes, I am raising him right!

5 Wonderful Years Together
Clay and I celebrated five years of marriage on August 9. I can't believe that it has been five years. God has blessed me with an amazing husband and a great father for my son. We have had some ups and downs during these five years, but we have come through stronger than ever. I am so glad that I was able to share it all with him. Clay, thanks for being an amazing husband and my best friend. I'm looking forward to the many years ahead we get to share with each other.
Gabby, Big and Heather took care of Jacob, so Clay and I could go celebrate our anniversary. We had a great night! He took me to eat at Fratesi's, then we went by Gaddytown (an upscale Chucky Cheese in Ridgeland) and then we went to the movies to see the Dark Knight (great movie). It had been a long time since we had spent some us time together. Date nights are so important in a marriage, and we are trying to make a huge effort in to have us time together once a week. Now that football season is here that is a lot harder, but so far so good.

Jacob in my Project Room
I have been able to get in my Project Room and work on some stuff lately. Jacob decided that he needed to come in a help me. He pulled this plastic boxes out of the Target bag and decided that he needed to sit in them. He thought it was so funny. He is also learning to play on the computer too. He loves to look at pictures and videos of himself and of Perrin. Mary Ann has a webcam, so that we can see and talk to them. Jacob was watching Perrin one morning, and the webcam froze up. He got really upset that "Merrin" was not on the computer any more. He was screaming at the computer and then at me.

Jacob and Lillie Brooks
This is Maci's daughter Lillie Brooks. As most of you know, Maci and I have decided that they need to get married. At least that way, we would know that they were marrying into good families!!! Maci and Lillie Brooks came and spent the night with us on Friday night. We had a great time ... as you will see.
This is their first kiss. It was too sweet!
This picture cracks me up! Check out Jacob's face as she touches his shoulder. He is all boy!
They talked and talked and talked. They really had a good time together.

Our First Trip to Dalton, Georgia
Mama was driving at this point, so my job was to entertain Jacob and Mary Pinson. We were singing songs and dancing while Beth and Perrin were watching movies. Thank goodness for DVD players and car chargers. Jacob wanted the radio on and was going to scream until we turned it on. Mary Pinson was so funny dancing!!!
Perrin and Jacob on their deck Saturday morning. This is probably my favorite picture of them.
This was Jacob's first Popsicle. I was taking a few pictures of him, and Perrin said that she wanted to be in the picture ...

So, she told me that she needed a picture taken with Mary Pinson too. We had a great trip!

The Dancing Baby
These have to be some of the funniest videos we have ever taken of Jacob. These were shot on our trip to Destin outside of a restaurant call Poppy's in Baytowne Wharf. Jacob was not so good in the restaurant for us, so Clay took him outside while I paid the check. I walked out to Jacob entertaining two ladies waiting outside as well. Make sure you listen to the song that he is dancing to in the first video (Play that Funky Music White Boy). And don't worry ... he did not hurt himself. You will know what I mean when you get to the end of both videos.

Perrin
Perrin is growing up so fast!! I can't believe it. She is already 3 1/2 years old. I remember the day Mary Ann told us she was pregnant. She is a great big cousin to Jacob and big sister to Mary Pinson. Jacob calls her "Merrin," and he "play" talks on the telephone to her all the time. It is the funniest thing to watch him walk around the house with his head tilted over just jabbering away. Posted by rene garner 0 comments
